Our Current Project

Ballan District Health and Care has recently refurbished all Primary Care services and has introduced a new Centre for Community Health building.

This building, a particial Federal Government funded GP Super Clinic, was the first of its kind to open in Australia and offers more than 20 different health care services for public and private patients.

After the successful Primary Care redevelopment Ballan District Health and Care have announced Stage 2 of an overall hospital redevelopment plan.

The Hospital is now making plans to redevelop the aged and acute care areas of the hospital including their existing 24 hours emergency stabilisation unit.
 
The new redevelopment includes:
  •  Improved inpatient and transitional care facilities,
  •  updating existing acute care rooms with private ensuites,
  •  establishing a palliative care specific area,
  •  establishing an x-ray facility,
  •  expanding and developing the existing emergency facilities,
  •  upgrade the existing nursing home and communal living areas and
This project will be completed in sections, to allow constant and uninterrupted operation of the hospital during construction.
The total cost of this project is estimated to be around $3 million.
